APEKS SUPERCRITICAL NEWS: APRIL 15, 2020

All our plans for trade shows last month were scuppered by the pandemic. No problem - we simply put shows on hold and will return to trade shows as they open up, starting with CannaTech in July and MJBizCon NEXT in August! We'll post updates to our Upcoming Events page as shows are scheduled.

In the meantime, have you seen the co-branding on our website? Being part of a large corporation means we are able to help on a much larger scale with the current pandemic. For example, we have repurposed old distilling technology to create hand sanitizer for employees and the local community. In addition, one of the companies in the corporation was an awning manufacturer and they quickly switched gears and are now creating face masks and PPE for medical staff.

In addition to everything else we're doing, you'll soon see our co-branding efforts in online media and newsletters! We'll have much more to share in the coming months, so keep an eye on our newsletter and website. An obvious Apeks Advantage is being able to rely on others to fill in when people are on a stay-at-home order! Jacob Ferrell is our man on the ground and he will post updates to social media from the factory floor, while our marketing person is working from home. Jacob works in automation and also in testing, making sure all systems are working properly before they are crated and shipped out.

Many companies were impacted by the Covid-19 outbreak. We were no different - office staff had to work from home, a skeleton crew working shifts came into the office to work on getting orders ready, and we were even able to help with community needs, providing hand sanitizer.

Part of the Apeks Advantage is that we were able to pivot to deal with this new challenge - with our corporate backing of Gibraltar Industries, we had the infrastructure and resources to maintain a full staff during the shutdown.

Our March class was held virtually and recorded for future use. Anyone who attends the online class (free for customers, and $1,000 for non-customers) gets to come to the next in-person class when we're allowed to host it again! Note: this class is theory with demonstrations by the instructor. It does not include Apeks extraction equipment training but if you purchase a system from us, full on-site training is included!

The whole company is our department spotlight this month! We are all very proud of everyone for doing their part to stop the contagion in its tracks. Our state governor was cited as one of the ones who got ahead of this disease and we followed his instructions and helped stop the spread. 

Everyone is keeping busy - there's no change for the sales, engineering, service, finance, HR, and marketing teams, who are all able to log in from home and work as if they were in the office (below is from a video webinar with Delta Separations and RBI). The welding, assembly, automation, testing, and shipping guys are all going to be teaching us via video about their jobs and offering valuable advice on how to work remotely! Stay tuned for more.

Orders are still being packed and shipped out - so use our new online parts store to place orders and they'll be shipped out as long as Fedex is allowed to deliver to your area.

Our service team is still fully operational, even remotely - they are available by phone (call the switchboard - the calls will be redirected and you won't even know that they're not in-house). Training is currently being done via Skype, FaceTime, and WhatsApp and normal in person training will continue after the crisis is over.
